The Ford 6R75 6-speed automatic transmission was produced in Michigan from 2006 to 2008 and was installed exclusively in the third-generation Expedition SUV, which was extremely popular in the US. This automatic transmission is essentially just one variant of the ZF 6HP26 automatic transmission.

The transmission was installed on:
- Ford Expedition 3 (U324) in 2006 – 2008.
Disadvantages of the Ford 6R75 gearbox
- This very robust automatic transmission does not tolerate overheating, so keep an eye on cooling;
- The control unit, located inside the housing, is particularly sensitive to high temperatures;
- Overheating also destroys the rubber and plastic parts of the automatic transmission, causing leaks;
- Other problems are common and related to worn bushings and contamination of the valve body;
- Other weak points include the selector position sensor and the input shaft drum.
