The Toyota AB60E 6-speed automatic transmission was produced at the company’s plants from 2006 to 2022 and was installed on rear-wheel drive versions of such popular models as the Tundra and Sequoia. This gearbox was intended for especially powerful V8 engines such as the 5.7-liter 3UR-FE.

Disadvantages of the Toyota AB60E gearbox
- This is a fairly reliable gearbox, but it is paired with especially powerful V8 engines;
- Under active driving the torque converter lockup clutch wears out quickly;
- The wear debris then clogs the valve body and greatly shortens the life of the solenoids;
- In the most neglected cases the oil pump bushing breaks and oil leaks begin;
- The weak points of this automatic include the rubber-coated pistons and the Forward drum.
