Using
The transmission was installed on:
- Cadillac XTS I (P1LL) in 2012 – 2019.
Disadvantages of the GM 6T80 gearbox
- The automatic transmission belongs to the Gen 2 line and is unaffected by the problems of the first series automatic transmission;
- However, it’s worth noting that this transmission is combined with a particularly powerful unit;
- Therefore, active owners experience rapid wear of the torque converter lockup clutches;
- Then, wear debris clogs the valve body, causing jerking during shifting.
