The Jatco JF012E (or Mitsubishi F1C1A or Suzuki ECVT) was produced from 2000 to 2012 and was installed in Japanese compact cars, as well as mid-size models for Arab countries. The transmission is designed for cars with engines up to 2.0 liters and 190 Nm of torque.

Disadvantages of the Jatco JF012E gearbox
- The most common problem is the bearings, which hum and tend to seize;
- The second most common problem is the forward clutch housing breaking under load;
- The CVT belt also often stretches after about 150,000 km;
- The speed sensors also often need to be replaced; they get stuck in one position.
