Disadvantages of the GM 9T60 gearbox
- This automatic transmission had many problems in its early years, but most have since been fixed;
- Many were helped by a software update, but some had to replace the valve body under warranty;
- It’s also worth noting the extremely high sensitivity of the solenoids to oil cleanliness;
- The weak points of this transmission include the parking mechanism, where the valve simply jams;
- A number of owners also complained about the shift lever breaking at low mileage.
