The Jatco 3N71B 3-speed automatic transmission was produced in Japan from 1968 to 1993 and installed in rear- and all-wheel-drive Nissan and Mazda models, including the L3N71B version. With the addition of an overdrive gear, the transmission became the 4-speed 4N71B.

Disadvantages of the Jatco 3N71B gearbox
- This is a fairly reliable transmission, and all its breakdowns are due to age and infrequent oil changes;
- The main problem is finding a service center that will repair this automatic transmission;
- There are also issues with finding spare parts, but many can be found in other transmissions;
- It’s good that clutch and seal kits are still available for order;
- It’s also worth noting that there are almost no good donors left in the scrap yard.
