Disadvantages of the Hyundai-Kia A4AF2 gearbox
- In the early years of production, there were many complaints about the quality of assembly and some components;
- Then, rapid bushing wear became the catalyst for the main problems with this transmission;
- This caused lubrication pressure to drop, causing the clutch packs to burn;
- Dirt from the burnt clutches clogged the valve body solenoids, causing jerking;
- Service centers also frequently replace differential bearings and solenoid wiring.
