Disadvantages of the GM 5ET50 gearbox
- This is a fairly rare hybrid automatic transmission, and information about it is scarce;
- The transmission has eliminated all the major problems of its predecessor and rarely bothers;
- As before, most glitches are related to the control unit and can be fixed with firmware;
- Some owners have experienced problems with the gear selector;
- Also, due to its low position, this automatic transmission can be damaged on poor roads.
