The Jatco JR403E or RG4R01A 4-speed automatic transmission was produced since 1992 and was used in large Nissan SUVs and Caravan minivans until 2012. This transmission was designed for engines with torque up to 350 Nm.

- Infiniti QX4 1 (R50) in 1997 – 2003.
Disadvantages of the Jatco JR403E gearbox
- One of the most reliable transmissions fails only due to natural wear and tear;
- Routine repairs here include replacing the oil, gaskets, seals, and bushings;
- At very high mileage, the clutches or brake bands usually wear out.
