Disadvantages of the Mitsubishi F4A23 gearbox
- This automatic transmission does not have any design weaknesses and all the problems are purely age-related.
- The automatic transmission is destroyed by a drop in oil pressure due to wear of the bushings and leaks in the oil seals.
- Due to weak pressure, the service life of the clutch packs, and especially C1 and C2, decreases.
- The freewheel, brake band or solenoid wiring are often replaced.
- Sometimes there is destruction of the differential and planetary gear bearings.
