Disadvantages of the Mitsubishi F5A51 gearbox
- This is a reliable automatic transmission, but it is combined with very powerful power units.
- The first versions of the automatic transmission had a weak wave spring, which often burst.
- A sharp start and slipping greatly reduce the life of planetary gear bearings.
- During active use, the bushings move little and vibrations destroy the oil pump.
- Regularly update the gearbox oil or wear products will quickly clog the valve body.
