Disadvantages of the Mitsubishi F4A22 gearbox
- This automatic transmission has no design weaknesses, all its problems are purely age-related.
- The gearbox is destroyed by a drop in lubricant pressure due to wear of the bushings and leaks in the oil seals.
- Weak pressure reduces the life of the clutch packs and the first to burn are C1 and C2.
- The brake band, freewheel and solenoid wiring are also often replaced.
- Rarely, destruction of the planetary bearing and differential occurs.
