Gearbox Aisin TW-40E

The Aisin TW-40 E 4-speed automatic transmission has been assembled in Japan since 1998, but was called A174 until 2003. The reference books highlight its modifications TW-40LE and TW-40LS. This transmission is designed for rear-wheel drive models with 120 Nm engines.

  • Suzuki Carry 10 (DA52) in 1999 – 2013; Carry 11 (DA16) since 2013;

  • Suzuki Jimny 3 (FJ) in 1998 – 2018.

Disadvantages of the TW-40E gearbox

  • This gearbox is structurally simple, very reliable and unpretentious in maintenance;
  • In case of critical wear of mechanical parts, it is easy and inexpensive to restore.
