Disadvantages of the Aisin AW55-51LE gearbox
- This is a reliable Japanese gearbox and it caused problems only in the first years.
- However, this version began to be installed en masse in 2006, already in an updated version.
- If you regularly renew the lubricant, its resource will easily exceed 300,000 km or more.
- In thrifty owners, the hydraulic unit becomes clogged with wear products from the torque converter clutch.
- Then the oil pump bushing usually breaks and noticeable oil leaks appear.
