Nissan RS6F52A 6-speed manual transmission has been produced at the Japanese company’s plant since 2007 and is used in the Qashqai and X-Trail, paired with the QR25DE engine or the 1.6 DCi and 2.0 DCi diesel engines. This transmission is also installed on the Renault Koleos, which shares the same platform, under its own designations, ND5 and ND8.

Using
The transmission was installed on:
- Nissan Qashqai 1 (J10) in 2007 – 2013;
- Nissan Qashqai 2 (J11) in 2013 – 2022;
- Nissan X-Trail 2 (T31) in 2007 – 2014;

Disadvantages of the Jatco RS6F52A gearbox
- This is a very reliable manual transmission and has no obvious weak points;
- The very first transmissions were notorious for frequent grease leaks along the axle shafts;
- With regular off-road driving, the clutch can fail as early as 100,000 km;
- Around 200,000 km, the expensive dual-mass flywheel often requires replacement.
