The RS5F92R 5-speed manual transmission has been produced at Renault-Nissan plants since 2003 and is installed on models with the HR16DE engine. Disadvantages of the Jatco RS5F92R gearbox
- In small and light vehicles, this transmission lasts a long time and causes no problems;
- However, in large vehicles, especially crossovers, the gearbox bearings wear out quickly;
- A humming noise from the secondary shaft and differential bearings appears closer to 100,000 km;
- Lubricant leaks or frozen control cables are also quite common;
- Sometimes fifth gear may stick due to the fork locks breaking.
