The Jatco RE4F02A 4-speed automatic transmission and the hydraulically controlled RL4F02A version were introduced in 1984 and installed on some front-wheel drive Nissan models. This transmission is designed for engines up to 3.0 liters in displacement and produces 260 Nm of torque.

Disadvantages of the Jatco RE4F02A gearbox
- An old and reliable automatic transmission is only afraid of dirty oil;
- Typically, solenoids are replaced, especially the torque converter lockup;
- Prolonged oil starvation in the transmission can also cause the bushings to slip;
- Another common problem here is the aging of rubber gaskets.
