Disadvantages of the GM 6T35 gearbox
- This transmission isn’t getting much criticism on forums, with only complaints about abrupt shifting;
- As with all modern automatic transmissions, the valve body is very sensitive to oil cleanliness;
- Change the oil regularly, or the solenoids will become clogged with wear debris from the clutches;
- It’s also important to keep the cooling system clean to prevent the transmission from overheating.
