Disadvantages of the ZF 8DT-55 gearbox

  • As always, in the first years of production there were problems with shocks and everything was treated with firmware.
  • You need to regularly update the lubricant or you will have to clean the valve body at 100,000 km.
  • For an overly active owner, the clutch block may wear out up to 50,000 km.
  • It is also necessary to note the very high cost of a new gearbox.
