The 6-speed automatic transmission ZF 6HP28 was produced by the concern from 2007 to 2014 and was installed on rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive BMW models under the designations GA6HP28Z and GA6HP28X. A modification of such an automatic transmission for Audi is known as 0B6 or 6HP28A and has many differences.

Disadvantages of the ZF 6HP28 gearbox
- The main problems of the gearbox are related to the rapid wear of the torque converter lock-up clutch;
- The solenoids of the valve body become clogged with wear products and the automatic transmission begins to push;
- Ignoring shocks and vibrations leads to destruction of the oil pump bearing;
- The weak points of automatic transmissions of this family include short-lived metal bushings;
- Also, all rubber and plastic parts do not have the greatest resource.
