Disadvantages of the Jatco JF506E gearbox
- During the first few years of production, the solenoids quickly failed, causing jerking;
- Even with the slightest overheating, the automatic transmission begins to shift very harshly;
- The transmission’s weak point is considered to be the oil pressure regulator in the valve body;
- Rarely, the High piston drum, as well as the Low/Rev drum, can fail;
- As for the electrical components in the transmission, only the speed sensors are regularly replaced.
