Disadvantages of the Jatco JF402E gearbox
- The most common problem is rapid contamination of the oil by wear products;
- The valve body solenoids gradually become clogged with dirt, causing jerking and pulsing;
- A typical repair involves cleaning the transmission’s internals and replacing the lubricant;
- The weak point here is the rear cover of the automatic transmission, which breaks down after 200,000 km.
