The Jatco RL4F01A 4-speed automatic transmission was produced only from 1982 to 1988 and was found only on American versions of the Prairie, known as the Multi and Stanza Wagon. It is considered the “little brother” of the RL4F02A and is rated for 160 Nm of torque.

The transmission was installed on:
- Nissan Prairie 1 (M10) in 1982 – 1988.
Disadvantages of the Jatco RL4F01A gearbox
- With regular oil changes, the transmission can last hundreds of thousands of kilometers;
- The most common replacements in this automatic transmission are the solenoids and dried-out rubber gaskets;
- There are reports online of bushings turning due to prolonged oil starvation.
