The RS5F30A 5-speed manual transmission was produced by the Japanese company Jatco from 1990 to 2015 and was installed in Nissan models with engines up to 1.8 liters. In some markets, this transmission is best known as the Nissan Almera Classic manual transmission.

Disadvantages of the Jatco RS5F30A gearbox
- Most of the problems with this transmission are related to its combination with the 1.6 and 1.8 liter engines;
- The shaft and differential bearings in the transmission simply cannot withstand the load;
- A loud hum can appear as early as 80,000 km; a recall was even conducted;
- The clutch, and especially the release bearing, do not have a long service life;
- The transmission also has narrow oil supply channels that quickly become clogged;
