The Chrysler 62TE 6-speed automatic transmission was produced in the United States from 2006 to 2020 and was installed in popular models such as the Pacifica, Sebring, and Dodge Journey. However, in some markets, this transmission is known as the Chrysler Voyager automatic transmission and its many counterparts.

Disadvantages of the Chrysler 62TE gearbox
- The most common weak point of an automatic transmission is the low-pressure drum, which simply breaks;
- The solenoid unit in this transmission also doesn’t have the longest lifespan;
- By 100,000 km, one of the solenoids or the EPC sensor usually needs to be replaced;
- After 200,000 km, the bushings often need to be replaced due to vibration, as does the speed sensor;
- This transmission doesn’t like prolonged slippage, which can damage the planetary gear.
