Disadvantages of the Jatco RS6F94R gearbox

  • This is a fairly reliable and durable transmission and it causes few problems;
  • The Spanish assembly of the manual transmission in the early years was problematic; they simply weren’t topped up with enough lubricant;
  • Bearing and synchronizer wear occurs at mileage levels over 150,000 km;
  • There are complaints on specialized forums about control cables freezing in extreme cold;
  • Another disadvantage of the transmission is the expensive dual-mass flywheel.
