The Aisin AW60-40SN 4-speed automatic transmission was produced at a plant in Japan from 1998 to 2014 and was installed in many popular Suzuki models for the domestic market, such as the Cultus and Aerio. In Opel vehicles, this transmission is known under its own designation, the AF13 II.

Disadvantages of the Aisin AW60-40SN gearbox
- This is a fairly robust transmission, but its service life is highly dependent on operating conditions;
- With moderate driving and regular oil changes, the automatic transmission can easily last up to 300,000 km;
- Overly active owners, however, experience rapid wear of the torque converter lockup clutch;
- Then the valve body becomes clogged, causing noticeable jolts when shifting;
- In the most severe cases, the oil pump bushing breaks, leading to leaks;
- The planetary gear in the automatic transmission is weak and is sensitive to any drop in oil level;
- At high mileage, the input/output speed sensors and wiring are often replaced.
