The Opel AF13 II 4-speed automatic transmission was assembled by the concern from 1998 to 2014 and installed in popular models such as the Astra, Corsa, and Vectra with engines up to 1.6 liters. This automatic transmission was essentially a variant of the well-known Aisin AW60-40SN.

Using
The transmission was installed on:
- Opel Astra G (T98) in 1998 – 2005
- Opel Corsa C (X01) in 2000 – 2003
- Opel Corsa D (S07) in 2006 – 2014
- Opel Vectra B (J96) in 1999 – 2002
Disadvantages of the Opel AF13 II gearbox
- This is a fairly reliable Japanese automatic transmission, and everything depends on the model and engine power;
- On the Opel Corsa 1.4-liter, it lasts a long time, but on the Vectra 1.6-liter, naturally, it lasts less;
- Around 200,000 to 250,000 km, the torque converter clutch wears out and its seal starts to leak;
- A drop in oil level is very dangerous for the planetary gear, which is rather weak;
- Also, the input and output speed sensors often fail in this series of transmissions.
