Disadvantages of the GM 2ML70 gearbox
- This is a rare hybrid automatic transmission, and information on its malfunctions is quite limited;
- In its early years, the transmission often malfunctioned, and a number of firmware updates were released for it;
- Also, on specialized forums, owners of cars with this transmission complain of oil leaks;
- The petal-type oil pump also doesn’t like long drives at high speeds;
- But the main problem here is the lack of service, spare parts, and donors on the secondary market.
