Disadvantages of the GM 6T75 gearbox
- A common problem with automatic transmissions in the early years was a weak spring disc in the 3-5-R drum;
- In 2009, the design was modernized, and since then it no longer breaks so frequently;
- Also, the solenoid block in automatic transmissions before 2012 didn’t have a long service life;
- With frequent trailer towing, the torque converter can fail as early as 80,000 km;
- All other problems are related to clutch wear and transmission overheating.
