Disadvantages of the Ford 6F50 gearbox
- This transmission is installed with powerful units, and the torque converter clutch wears out quickly;
- Then wear debris clogs the solenoids, and oil pressure in the system drops;
- A drop in oil pressure here leads to rapid wear of the bushings and oil pump;
- To extend the life of this transmission, change the oil as often as possible;
- A problem with the spring disc of the 3-5-R drum sometimes occurs in transmissions made before 2012.
