The Jatco RN3F01A 3-speed automatic transmission was first introduced in 1981 and was essentially the very first front-wheel drive transmission from the Japanese carmaker Nissan. This automatic transmission was installed in many popular Nissan models with engines up to 1.8 liters.

- Nissan Bluebird U11 in 1983 – 1990.
Disadvantages of the Jatco RN3F01A gearbox
- The only serious problem considered is oil starvation due to leaks;
- Due to dried-out seals and gaskets, grease often leaks from the gearbox.
