The VW DQ380, or DSG-7 0DE, 7-speed robotic transmission was produced in Tianjin from 2014 to 2018 and was installed in many popular Chinese models, such as the Lamando, Magotan, and Golf GTi. This robotic transmission, with its dual wet clutches, is essentially a simplified version of the DQ500.

- Audi Q3 1 (8U) in 2014 – 2018;
- Skoda Octavia 3 (5E) in 2015 – 2017;
- Volkswagen Golf 7 (5G) in 2014 – 2017;
- Volkswagen Lamando 1 (BM1) in 2014 – 2018;
- Volkswagen Magotan 2 (0B2) in 2016 – 2018.
Disadvantages of the VW DQ380 gearbox
- In the early years, there were complaints of jolts and jerks, but they were all resolved with firmware updates;
- A problem with pressure sensors, typical for this series, is also common here;
- The clutch unit has a decent service life and typically lasts at least 150,000 km;
- It’s worth noting that the dual-mass flywheel is often replaced at the same mileage;
- This is also a fairly rare transmission, and even in China, finding a donor isn’t easy.
