- Pontiac Vibe 2 (E140) in 2008 – 2009.
Disadvantages of the Aisin AW72-41LE gearbox
- This is a very reliable Japanese automatic transmission, and its only weak point is the wiring;
- Because of this, you may occasionally encounter failures of the solenoids or the gear selector;
- The torque converter lockup clutch lasts a long time, and when it wears out, it leaks at the oil seal;
- Closer to 250,000 km, the rear output shaft support bearing often requires replacement;
- And if you drive with a worn bearing, the rear planetary gearset will break.
