The Aisin AW30-50LE 5-speed automatic transmission was produced only from 1991 to 1999 and was installed only on Crown and Lexus GS300 sedans with a 3.0-liter 2JZ-GE engine. In the Toyota nomenclature, this transmission is known under its own index A350E.

Disadvantages of the AW30-50LE gearbox

  • First of all, this is a rare transmission and finding a donor for it is not very easy;
  • But reliability is all right here, breakdowns occur only at high mileage;
  • After 250,000 km, the torque converter locking clutch often wears out;
  • Then this dirt clogs the solenoids and the automatic transmission begins to push when switching;
  • Next, shaft vibrations usually appear, which break the oil pump bushing.
