Using
The transmission was installed on:
- Lexus GS300 1 (S140) in 1995 – 1997;
- Toyota Crown 9 (S140) in 1991 – 1995;
- Toyota Crown 10 (S150) in 1995 – 1999.
Disadvantages of the Aisin AW30-50LE gearbox
- Reliability is fine here; breakdowns only occur at high mileage;
- After 250,000 km, the torque converter lockup clutch often wears out;
- This dirt then clogs the solenoids, and the automatic transmission begins to jolt when shifting;
- Shaft vibrations usually appear next, which damage the oil pump bushing.
