Disadvantages of the AW35-50LS gearbox
- This is a fairly reliable automatic transmission and breakdowns occur only at high mileage;
- It all starts after severe wear of the torque converter locking clutch;
- Then wear products clog the valve body and shocks appear when switching;
- Then the vibrations of the shaft break the oil pump bushing and oil leaks appear;
- It is also important to keep the cooling system clean; this automatic transmission does not tolerate overheating.
