Gearbox Aisin TF-82SC

The 6-speed automatic transmission Aisin TF-82SC was assembled by the concern from 2013 to 2018 and installed on many popular Citroen and Peugeot models under its index AM6-3. The transmission was intended for powerful engines and was most often installed with a 2.0 HDi diesel engine.

Disadvantages of the Aisin TF-82SC gearbox

  • This is a reliable automatic transmission, but it has a weak cooling system and it is better to improve it.
  • The heat exchanger can become clogged up to 100,000 km and the automatic transmission will constantly overheat.
  • High temperatures damage the sealing rings and the oil pressure drops.
  • Then the friction clutches start to burn out and the C2 clutch pack is usually the first to fail.
  • It is also important to change the oil every 60,000 km or the hydraulic unit will not last long.
