Disadvantages of the Honda SE5A gearbox
- If you change the transmission oil regularly, it can easily last up to 250,000 km;
- If there are serious problems, a used automatic transmission will cost less than any repair;
- Dirty oil and clogged filters contribute to belt wear, and then to pulley wear;
- After 100,000-150,000 km, bearings may start humming, especially on the input shaft;
- Weak points include short-lived bearings and unreliable electrical components.
