Disadvantages of the Mazda MM8AX-EC gearbox
- This automatic transmission hasn’t been around very long, but it’s already been plagued by a number of serious issues;
- There was even a recall campaign due to loss of power after a sudden stop;
- Owners also report strong vibrations in a certain RPM range;
- The driveshaft is usually replaced under warranty, but this doesn’t help everyone; the problem is the transmission;
- There are also complaints on specialized forums about poor gear shifting at low speeds.
