Using
The transmission was installed on:
- Opel Omega B (V94) in 2000 – 2003.
Disadvantages of the Opel R30 gearbox
- This is a very reliable manual transmission, but its service life is highly dependent on operating conditions;
- Overly active owners may experience short-lived first-gear synchronizers;
- The input shaft bearing may begin to hum and require replacement as early as 150,000 km;
- The plastic ring and bushings on the lever also often break, causing it to wobble;
- Continuing to drive like this will soon result in grease leaks through the gearshift seals.
