Gearbox Peugeot 2-Tronic

The Peugeot 2-Tronic 5-speed robotic transmission was produced from 2005 to 2014 and installed in popular PSA vehicles: the Peugeot 207 and Citroën C3. A similarly named Aisin transmission was installed in the 107 and C1 subcompact models.

Disadvantages of the Peugeot 2-Tronic gearbox

  • The initialization procedure often resolves robotic transmission jerking issues;
  • The plastic pressure mechanism or clutch actuator wears out quickly;
  • The gear selector actuator fails at approximately 150,000 km;
  • Service stations periodically encounter the need to replace the control unit;
  • The clutch assembly is often replaced; it typically wears out by 50,000 km.
