The 8-speed automatic transmission ZF 8HP51 has been produced by the German concern since 2018 and is installed on all-wheel drive BMW models as GA8HP51X and rear-wheel drive as GA8HP51Z. This gearbox is installed on the restyled version of the first generation Jaguar XE sedans.

Disadvantages of the ZF 8HP51 gearbox
- There are already cases of destruction of the spring torsional vibration damper.
- Also, when driving too aggressively, aluminum pistons and drums burst.
- The remaining problems here are related to contamination of the solenoids with wear products.
- As before, the weak point of the automatic transmission of this line is the bushings and rubber gaskets.
