The Getrag 7DCT300 7-speed robotic transmission with dual wet clutches has been produced since 2015 and is installed in front-wheel drive models from BMW, Renault, Nissan, and many Chinese manufacturers. A robotic transmission modification for hybrid models, the 7HDT300, and a reinforced version, the 7DCT500, are also available.

Disadvantages of the Getrag 7DCT300 gearbox
- In the early years of production, the robotic transmission was plagued by jerking, but firmware updates have fixed this.
- Now there are few complaints about it, and most are related to unstable operation.
- A particular feature of this robotic transmission is frequent fogging around the plastic pan.
- But the main drawback is the high cost of replacing the clutch assembly.
