Disadvantages of the GM 4EL70 gearbox
- This is a very rare hybrid automatic transmission, and there is no information about its malfunctions anywhere;
- The owner’s main problem will be finding a service center that will repair the transmission;
- Due to the limited production run of the CT6 Plug-In Hybrid, it is difficult to find a donor car on the used market;
- Therefore, it is extremely important to regularly change the oil and monitor the cooling system;
- The problem of jerking when shifting can be eliminated by reprogramming the transmission.
