Disadvantages of the TB-61SN gearbox
- This is a fairly strong automatic transmission, but its service life greatly depends on the operating mode;
- With an active owner, the oil quickly becomes contaminated with wear products of the torque converter clutch;
- Then the dirty lubricant corrodes the channels in the valve body and damages the solenoids;
- Long-term operation with a worn torque converter clutch destroys the oil pump bushing;
- And this in turn leads to oil leaks, which is extremely dangerous for the gearbox.
