Disadvantages of the TB-61SN gearbox

  • This is a fairly strong automatic transmission, but its service life greatly depends on the operating mode;
  • With an active owner, the oil quickly becomes contaminated with wear products of the torque converter clutch;
  • Then the dirty lubricant corrodes the channels in the valve body and damages the solenoids;
  • Long-term operation with a worn torque converter clutch destroys the oil pump bushing;
  • And this in turn leads to oil leaks, which is extremely dangerous for the gearbox.
