Disadvantages of the Toyota A761H gearbox
- This gearbox is paired with a powerful V8 engine and its service life depends heavily on the owner;
- Under excessively aggressive driving its torque converter lockup clutch wears out quickly;
- This debris then clogs the valve body and the gearbox starts jerking when shifting;
- If you drive without paying attention, the oil pump bushing breaks and leaks appear;
- And it is important to keep the cooling system clean, as this automatic transmission dislikes overheating.
