Gearbox Toyota A760H

The Toyota A760H 6-speed automatic transmission has been produced in Japan since 2005 and is installed on all-wheel drive versions of such well-known models as the Lexus IS250, IS350 and GS350. In essence this transmission is one of the versions of the very popular Aisin TB-60SN.

Disadvantages of the Toyota A760H gearbox

  • This is a perfectly reliable automatic transmission, but its service life depends heavily on how it is driven;
  • With a very active owner the torque converter lockup clutch can wear out quickly;
  • This debris then clogs the valve body and the gearbox starts jerking when shifting;
  • If you keep driving with this jerking, the oil pump bushing breaks and oil leaks begin;
  • You also need to keep the cooling system clean, as this gearbox does not tolerate overheating.
