Continuously variable transmission Aisin XB-20LN was introduced in 2005 and by its design is one of the Toyota K310 CVT options for offering on the foreign market. The gearbox is intended for cars with engines up to 1.8 liters and 175 Nm of torque.

Disadvantages of the XB-20LN gearbox
- The life of a continuously variable transmission depends entirely on the frequency of oil changes;
- Old and dirty grease clogs the bearings, causing noise and rapid wear;
- CVT is afraid of overheating due to slipping or long driving in traffic jams;
- Rarely, leaks from drive seals do occur, which is very dangerous for the gearbox.
