Disadvantages of the Aisin XB-20LN gearbox

  • This transmission is installed on a compact model with a weak unit and has a long service life;
  • Even the typical K3 series problem with the Forward drum is rare here;
  • However, frequent acceleration from a standstill and slippage quickly wear out the shaft bearings;
  • And with excessive oil change intervals, the valve body becomes clogged with wear debris;
  • Also, complaints about lubricant leaks, especially in the drives, are common on specialized forums.
