CVT Aisin XA-15LN was introduced in 2006 and is a modification of the Toyota K210 continuously variable transmission only for installation on Mazda cars. Around 2014, the gearbox gave way to a new generation of CVT with the index XA-12SD/SN.

The transmission was installed on:
- Mazda Axela II (BL) in 2009 – 2013;
- Mazda Demio III (DE) in 2007 – 2014.
Disadvantages of the XA-15LN gearbox
- Frequent oil changes significantly extend the life of the continuously variable transmission;
- Metal shavings in the lubricant get into the bearings, causing them to hum and wear;
- Most often, the gearbox fails due to overheating due to prolonged slipping;
- Some owners on specialized forums complain about leaking drive seals.
