The Aisin XA-15LN continuously variable transmission (CVT) was produced by the Japanese company from 2007 to 2014 and installed in the Mazda Demio with a 1.3-liter ZJ-VE engine and the Mazda Axela with a 1.5-liter ZY-VE engine. This transmission is a variant of the Toyota K210, a well-known transmission in the local market.

- Mazda Demio III (DE) in 2007 – 2014.
Disadvantages of the XA-15LN gearbox
- This is a fairly reliable transmission, but it doesn’t like slippage or sudden acceleration from a standstill;
- With excessively dynamic driving, the bearings can start to hum as early as 100,000 km;
- Also, with infrequent oil changes, the solenoids in the valve body wear out quickly;
- Then the oil pressure in the transmission drops, which significantly reduces the life of the belt and all bushings;
- And on specialized forums, people often complain about oil leaks, especially in the drives.
