Disadvantages of the Ford MTX75 gearbox

  • This is a very reliable manual transmission, and it has literally a couple of weak points;
  • First of all, it’s worth noting the short-lived input shaft bearing;
  • Secondly, the oil seals are constantly leaking, which is very dangerous for the transmission;
  • After all, any drop in oil level leads to wear on the shafts and gear rims;
  • Also, many transmission versions are equipped with a dual-mass flywheel, which isn’t the most durable.
